We weren’t able to make it to Las Vegas for the 2014 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) last month, but luckily, what happens at KBIS doesn’t stay at KBIS. We followed the show closely via various social media outlets and saw lots of cool new products and innovations. Here are just a few of our favorite new products or ideas for kitchens or baths:

Laser-Etched Cambria Slab www.cambriausa.com This pattern is laser etched into the surface of a Cambria slab. Once sealed, you could use it as a shower wall, kitchen backsplash . . . no name it. You wouldn't have any grout lines and, like all Cambria, it’s very durable and easy to clean and maintain.

To create the surface material, industrial designers translated the beauty from 46-sq.-ft. of six different wood species into high-definition scans, which allows Robern to offer exotic wood species without cutting down a tree. The sleek, modern V14 vanity can be specified in Rosewood Santos, Indian Rosewood, Smooth Leaved Elm, European Ash, Freijo and Oak Knot.
